Day 8-16 of my Partial Hysterectomy Chronicles

This may be one of the last updates about my surgery. I am recovering pretty nicely, except that there are still on and off days.

Like yesterday, was a VERY OFF DAY. I was supposed to update my blog yesterday, but I was so fatigued the WHOLE DAY. Our dog Felony showed some concern.

He is not allowed on the bed. So he watches and stays by my bedside.

Day 8-10

I was feeling great! I was able to do answer emails. Do some organizing in the office. Read a book. Took afternoon naps. And my pain was minimal and tolerable. I was able to do number 2 in the bathroom – with little to no pain.

Day 11

Hey, I am feeling fine so far. So, I will try to wean myself off my Tylenol and just take Ibuprofen today. By 10am… I was paying for it. I felt like I was going into shock! I took my Tylenol and I was shivering – but I didn’t have a fever.

Tony placed an extra heater in our bedroom and I was GONE for 4-5 hours straight.

Day 12

Well, I am not doing that again. So I took my medications on schedule. And I finished a pretty good book that my friend, Tami – sent me. I highly recommend this book if you like a little bit of love story, nature and a murder mystery rolled in one.

Day 13-14

I am close to my 2 week mark since I had my surgery. And I am not a big fan of taking medications if I can help it. So for Day 13, I was more in bed especially in the afternoon. Did some self-development business training and did some researching. I was able to cook my breakfast though! Going back to my usual diet.

Day 15-16

I was great on Day 15, I was able to do some Real Estate work, do some training, research and marketing for our other businesses. Even attended an online webinar for one. While sipping on green tea.

Well, yesterday was Day 16 and it was a BUST! I WAS SO SO TIRED. I got up my usual time, did some business research. And then was back in bed most of the day. I was dozing on and off and increased abdominal pains.

I guess my body was telling me to slow down. And slow down, I will.

My upcoming appointment with my OBGYNE is on the first week of March. Looking forward to that and hopefully – I will have a date for when I can go back to work and exercise!!!

Until my next blog post. Have a fantastic weekend!
